Welcome,
NZBMA is Ōtautahi Christchurch’s functional movement expert, established back in 2016 by the mother & son duo, Dawn & Wayne Armour. Who seek to offer services aimed at moving beyond conventional thinking & traditional soft tissue manual therapy approaches & just using massage or relaxation techniques. NZBMA’s ethos is grounded in the power of obtaining full holistically sustained functional dynamic mobility, whereby free of discomfort or fascial restrictions for optimal outcomes. Dawn and Wayne achieve such a fete through education, practical use of manual tools, content resources & establishing realistic homecare (that’s not just merely prescribed). Over the past decade, NZBMA has evolved from a growing startup into a resilient community. While we have restructured many times to meet the demands of the industry, our core mission remains steadfast. It’s built to advocate for diversity, endorse inclusion & support the greater Ōtautahi Christchurch community wherever possible.

Wayne’s Body Mechanic Treatment now stands as the primary hands-on service facilitated by NZBMA, following Dawn’s retirement for health reasons. Where we once focused on creating change, we are now dedicated to maintaining and sustaining that change. This is the ongoing legacy we are committed to upholding as we move forward.

Regrettably, Dawn is very unwell and is unable to work in any capacity. She is not returning to NZBMA and will not be offering any services to past or current clients for the foreseeable future. While we appreciate your needs and shared recommendations (a true testament to her decade of heart-led work), her health must now come first.
